Meditation from Hosea Chapter 13

# When we are exalted, successful, fruitful, satisfied there is a possibility of becoming Proud.

# When we are proud we have forgotten the LORD. Because it is He who saved, satisfied & set us in this place and we are nothing without God.

# If we don't deal with pride and become humble everything precious in our life will be taken away and our life will become dry & parched and not fruitful.

Deal with pride before it causes downfall.

Today's Intercession: Pray for the Judiciary system of the nation to not go against God's laws. Pray for the Supreme Court and all other courts, judges and advocates to practice justice and righteousness.

True Encounter with God

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 12

Signs that I have a true encounter with God:

1. I will Return to God (Repent from all sins) 

2. I will Remain with God

3. I will Wait upon Him for everything (that is, not my desire or will but only His)

This will reflect in three areas of our life

1. Relationships will become godly

2. Role / Purpose will be clear & God-centered (to fulfil His plans) 

3. Work will be excellent & will bring glory to God

Today's Intercession: For those who are victims of Human Trafficking. When we think about the plight of those girls & children who are trafficked for prostitution & child labour, we cannot feel lonely or deprived. Pray for such that they may be delivered & have life.

Growing in the LORD

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 11

Signs that I am growing in the LORD:

1. I will WALK with God (not with the world) 

2. I will remain FAITHFUL to Him

How will this be seen or expressed in my life?

1. I will understand God's love for me and I will reciprocate His love by walking with Him

2. I will fear the LORD and will be faithful to Him in everything (Time, Talents, Resources, Responsibilities, Relationships).

Do I truly love the LORD and fear Him? Am I walking with God and faithful to Him?

Fallow Ground

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 10

# What we sow, we will reap. We need to be careful what influence others make in our life and what we make in others life. 

# God wants to rain righteousness & mercy in our life, so that we may be fruitful. But He cannot send the rain unless the fallow ground (our life) is prepared.

# Symptoms of a fallow ground:

False Heart

Mere Words

Empty Oaths

Waywardness

# This is the time to seek the seek the LORD so that our life may be prepared to receive God's rain of righteousness & mercy.

# We become like that which we love. 

# If we love detestable things we will become detestable. If we love Jesus we will become like Him.

# If we don't wholly love God, our life will become dry, fruitless and useless.

Do I truly know God?

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 8

I say I know God. Do I truly know God? 

# If I know God, He alone will be my trust and security. Because He is my Maker and He knows best. 

# If I know God, His word will not be a strange thing to me. I will know His word by reading & meditating it daily and will live by it.

# If I know God, I will not do anything without Him or without His knowledge. I will do everything according to His will and plan.

Ineffective?

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 7

God strengthens us to be effective and useful. We become ineffective & useless when,

#  We allow God given strength to go waste because of bad or ungodly company (friendship, etc)

#  We trust people & our background more than God. When God is not our backup rather we have our own backups.

# When our prayers, cries & unending desires are only for physical needs and not about fulfilling God's will.

When we completely surrender ourselves to God & Him alone, He will restore & heal us to be fruitful for the appointed harvest.

Personal Revival

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 6

Personal Revival is necessary to be a useful vessel of God, because only a person with life can give life to others. Revival is to return to God and returning to God means –

1. A thirst for God's word and pursuit to know the LORD more.

2. Not momentary or circumstantial love, but ever present love for the LORD. That is to live & to do only that will please God.

3. Always remembering and honouring the Covenant, the commitment between you and God.

4. Being Faithful to God. Let no one or nothing to take that place.

When we never allow the thirst for God's word and the love for the LORD to quench, we will honour the covenant and will remain faithful to God.
