Are we a good tree that bears good fruit?

Meditation from Luke Chapter 6

“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit.” Luke 6:43 NRSV

1. Good Foundation: The foundation of our life will be strong only when we not only call Jesus 'Lord, Lord' but when we hear His words and act on them. (Luke 6:36-39)

2. Good Deed: Our deeds are good only when we do good to others, save life and do not harm or destroy others. (6:9)

3. Good Love: (6:27-35)
Our love is good only when we,
a)      Love not only those who love us but when we love those who hate
b)      Bless those who curse us
c)      Pray for those who abuse us
d)     Do not take revenge
e)      Lend to others without expectations

4. Good Eye: We need to see our own sins & errors first before correcting others. We are spiritually blind if we fail to see our mistakes yet correct others. (6:39-42)

5. Good Measure: We should not just correct others, but also forgive others. This is a good measure and in this same manner it will be measured back to us. (6:37-38). We are forgiven by God only when we forgive others (Matthew 6:12; Mark 11:25).

6. Good Treasure: We are called to be the good person who out of the good treasure of the heart produces good (Luke 6:45). It is not possible to produce good things if our heart is not filled with good treasures; evil person out of evil treasure produces evil. It is imperative what we fill our heart & mind with – good or evil content. Fill the heart with God’s word and godly things to produce good things.

When we become that good tree that bears good fruit our reward in heaven is great! (Luke 6:23, 35). Good tree produces good fruit and receives great reward!

Where is your love?

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 9

# We become like that which we love.

# If we love detestable things we will become detestable. If we love Jesus we will become like Him.

# If we don't wholly love God, our life will become dry, fruitless and useless.

Where is your love?

Have a blessed day!

Personal Revival

Meditation from Hosea Chapter 6

Personal Revival is necessary to be a useful vessel of God, because only a person with life can give life to others. Revival is to return to God and returning to God means

1. A thirst for God's word and pursuit to know the LORD more.

2. Not momentary or circumstantial love, but ever present love for the LORD. That is to live & to do only that will please God.

3. Always remembering and honouring the Covenant, the commitment between you and God.

4. Being Faithful to God. Let no one or nothing to take that place.

When we never allow the thirst for God's word and the love for the LORD to quench, we will honour the covenant and will remain faithful to God.

Have a blessed day!
